Come What May
Dannelle Rose Buenacasa

Come What May” is a thrilling and inspiring movie for the whole family. It’s a story of a student grappling with life’s difficult questions and decisions to be made in the face of adversity. There is also a love story interwoven to illustrate that love is most beautiful when it is pure, and provides an encouraging example for young people faced with the pressures of dating.

Caleb Hogan (Austin Kearney) is a student who, in following in his lawyer mother’s footsteps, seeks the college with the best moot court team.  His Christian father, Don (Kenny Jezek) shares his son’s interest in Patrick Henry College (PHC), which teaches Christian values and principles, and has won the National Moot Court Championship the past two years, but his liberal mother is not as thrilled.  She finally agrees that he can go, and his parents will pay for his first year, but would only pay for his second year if he won the Championship.  At PHC, Caleb is paired with a member of last year’s winning team, Rachel Morton (Victoria Emmons).  Their class’ challenge is to defend a parental rights abortion case, and Caleb’s initial idea is to take an easy route that would leave Roe v. Wade intact.  Rachel disagrees, and the quest is on to find out when life begins, how to overturn Roe v. Wade, and whether or not one should do the right thing, come what may.  Together Caleb and Rachel learn that the right way is not always the most agreeable way, nor is it the easiest, and it will not guarantee them a win at the National Moot Court Championship, but it will honor God.
